Have a lovely Christmas.
Enjoy the food and don’t feel guilty about having another mince pie or spoonful of trifle. It doesn’t matter if not everything has been made from scratch and nothing looks like it was prepared for Masterchef or some foodie photoshoot for a magazine!
There is so much pressure to have a perfect Christmas that sometimes the simple things are forgotten.
Time to connect with people that are important to you. Switching off from work and social media and having some down time. To be thankful for what we have even if it is not perfect. Sparing a thought for those less fortunate than ourselves or who are spending Christmas alone. A wee word from Robert Burns:
Some hae meat and canna eat,
And some wad eat that want it,
But we hae meat and we can eat,
Sae let the Lord be Thankit!
Robert Burns, the Selkirk Grace
