Sleep is so important to our health and something so many of us either take for granted or struggle with.
It can be a huge issue for women approaching or transitioning through menopause. It was a topic that came up during chat with the wonderful Nutrition Talent team for the humans of nutrition podcast to talk about all things Eating Well for Menopause.
So many women find that is affected as they go through menopause – various research suggests around 60% of women report poorer sleep.

Sleep affects our health in so many ways – poor sleep can raise blood pressure, affect out ability to deal with stressful situations, it can impact out food choices drawing us to more calorie dense and easier to grab foods and exacerbate other menopause symptoms.
Small things that ease sleep and improve its quality can be support overall health for anyone but the benefits may be more tangible in menopause.
